Momentum: Transformational Policing and Bridging the Racial Divide

Guest Speaker: Tommy Tunson, author, professor and retired chief of police

Moderators: Derrick Felton, Instructor, Psychology, and Elvin T. Ramos, Dean, Social Sciences and Humanities

This event is open to all faculty, students, staff and community members.

Dr. Tunson will offer a historical analysis of police distrust in American society and recent conflicts between police and communities of color. The presentation will build awareness of the sensitive and polarizing issues of racial diversity, equity, and inclusion. Finally, this session will provide information on how the Transformational Policing Model can be a platform, content and a possible path to restoring trust and healing.
