Information about the Series:
Please join us for this online series of panel discussions and dialogues, which will bring together faculty representatives from our four core areas of ethnic studies, along with students, classified professionals and administrators from these racial, ethnic and cultural communities. These panels were developed for everyone to learn from, about, and with each other – with the goal of building multiracial alliances and a multiracial coalition at De Anza College, to support structural and systemic change, here and beyond.
The intended purposes and outcomes for this panel series are:
a. To provide an Ethnic Studies lens for understanding our history and current context––in the US and at FHDA––and what strategies can help us meet the needs of our communities at FHDA and beyond.
b. To provide a forum for each racial/ethnic group to be seen and heard about what is important to us as individuals who are part of diverse communities.
c. To understand how to be in solidarity with each other working for sustained structural change.
d. To leverage our coalition work as a force of influence for this structural change.
We strongly encourage participation in the entire series, for full inclusion and understanding. Thank you!
